    Ordered: 2 shrimp tacos ($3.75 each) + steak taco ($3.75) + shrimp molcajete ($18) + steak fajita ($13.25) + jalapeño margaritas (~$10)

Ambience: FUN! Tucked in a cute little town that has a British flare, called downtown Norcross. It's a town square with Christmas lights dangling on both sides of the street. Music flowing from different restaurants. Cute boutique shops. Sometimes there's a loud noise of the train passing by. The old train station is now a steak house. I mean, it's super cute! Now the restaurant itself has loud Latina music playing. Chatty and friendly staff. Busy! You can reserve in advance. It gets a long line. Tightly knit wooden tables. Can fit larger party upon request.

Review: 10 on 10 for the ambience. But the food is mediocre. A bit over priced but I suppose that's cause of the location. The margaritas are the best things on the menu. We got the spicy one and it has a kick to it. The shrimp tacos were the 2nd best item. Well you can't go wrong with shrimp. So the tacos were okay. I've had better. The steak fajita was a bit disappointing. I was expecting sizzling fajita but they were chunks of beef in a saucy gravy. Not much flavor. We also tried the molcajete. It's a lot of food. Very strong taste of lemon and filled with the liquid sauce. It's alright. Not worth the hype. I wish downtown Norcross got some good restaurants like downtown Duluth.

We stopped by to have a couple of drinks. The decor is what attracted us to come in. Very cute table setting. I will definitely come back to try out the food.

Bartender was great, she was attentive and friendly!

Let me start off by clarifying that a handful of co-workers enjoy coming here for lunch and that it's a popular choice for birthday lunch outings.  This makes me feel like the food is pretty decent but, since starting Keto (happy new year to me), I could not enjoy all that Zapata has to offer.

This review is based on what I ordered which was not necessarily on the menu. Since I couldn't do rice, beans, chip and dip, or tortillas, I ended up ordering the chicken fajita sans the carbs (no tortillas, rice, or beans). I asked for queso on top of my chicken and veggies and I basically ended up with a plate of smothered looking tastiness. Unfortunately, the dish did not taste as good as it looked. I think there was way too many grilled onion shreds and I'm not one of those "anti-onion" type of people. The dish was just overpowered by the onion and overall just didn't taste that great.

Our server was good though and despite being super packed with a Friday lunch rush, we were greeted and seated fairly quickly.

I will probably try Zapata again. I may just have to wait for a cheat day...

This restaurant is located in downtown Norcross. It has a cozy ambiance. The service was phenomenal! I ordered a strawberry margarita, and it was nice and strong. I ordered the 3 tacos (2 pastor and chicken). The tacos al pastor was very delicious. Probably one of top 5 best in Atlanta. However, the chicken taco was very flavorless. And the queso dip got hard after minutes.

Other than that, it was a great dining experience. I would definitely come back!
